Data never sleeps: Infographic
Data is generated so quickly these days that even the numbers in this infographic might be out of date by the time I repost it.
It came via Econsultancy group and has some estimations of online content generation. 2 million Google searches every minute, most of them served via instant search? Crazy. 204.2 million emails – every minute? Are you kidding me? Most pertinent to all this is all the the data in the infographic below was generated from a total estimated Internet population of 2.1 Billion people globally.
There’s more than 7 billion people on the planet, a good chunk of whom are quickly becoming internet enabled – and quickly is puttting it nicely. It’s amazing to think how far we’ve come in just a short period of time in terms of being able to facilitate this much information. No wonder Amazon invested so early in data storage!
